Child Care

All children learn from their experiences, and staff at Rascals are able to build on these experiences with well planned, purposeful activities that will challenge the children and allow them to achieve success, promoting confidence and self esteem.

The curriculum is structured around communication, language and literacy; personal, social and environmental development; mathematical development; knowledge and understanding of the world; physical development and creative development. The level of teaching is based on a secure knowledge and understanding by the staff, in all six areas of the learning curriculum, and on expectations set by the staff for children's progress and attainment.

An ongoing portfolio of work logs children's progress. Through this process of continually assessing and reviewing the children we ensure at all times that their needs are being met whilst at our nursery.

Your child will have access to a computer on a daily basis to support their learning and topic work. Problem solving games, use of construction toys, imaginary play and outdoor play are also daily activities. French and ballet are on offer once a week.

Children are cared for in small groups by staff who hold relevant childcare qualifications. Through training, staff skills are updated, keeping them 'in touch' with goverment initiatives surrounding childcare. Rascals work with the local community and other agencies to ensure that we meet the needs of all the children in our care.

Included in our fees are all your child's requirements eg formula milk, nappies, mid-morning/afternoon snack and a freshly prepared lunch. All our nurseries follow Cheshire's dental hygiene programme, which means that we only offer milk or water drinks and no sugary snacks at snack and meal time.
