Rascals is a group of three well equipped day nurseries established in 1988 by Alan and Julia Britton. Our nurseries, all based in the Cheshire regions of Congleton and Crewe offer a comprehensive child care service for children from 6 weeks up to 5 years of age. At Rascals, all children learn from their experiences, and staff at Rascals are able to build on these experiences with well planned, purposeful activities that will challenge the children and allow them to achieve success, promoting confidence and self-esteem.

The curriculum is structured around communication, language and literacy; personal, social and environmental development; mathematical development; knowledge and understanding of the world; physical development and creative development, detailed information about these areas of learning can be found on our ‘Learning’ page. The level of teaching is based on a secure knowledge and understanding by the staff, in all six areas of the learning curriculum, and on expectations set by the staff for children's progress and attainment.

An ongoing portfolio of each child's progress is compiled. Through this process of continually assessing and reviewing the children we ensure at all times that their needs are being met whilst at our nursery (Children’s development files are available for parents to view at any time).
