The aim of Rascals Day Nursery is to provide high quality childcare and nursery education from 6 weeks to 5 years of age in a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment. We give priority to the development, needs and happiness of our children and their families. The nursery believes that this quality can be achieved by working together in partnership with parents, carers and OFSTED, with our childcare and nursery education firmly based on the following principles:

  • Every child is a unique individual
  • All children have skills and abilities that need to be brought out and built upon
  • Children have the right to develop physically, socially, emotionally, morally and intellectually to their full potential
  • All children learn through first hand experiences, using their five senses
  • Learning is holistic for young children

At Rascals we acknowledge the importance of working in partnership with parents. Listening to parents and children and taking into account their needs allows us to assist you in the care of your child. An 'open door' policy' is operated, making parents feel welcome and valued and feel that they can 'pop' into the nursery at any time. Rascals also holds parents meetings, giving the opportunity to talk to the senior management team, although staff are always available to talk to throughout the nursery day. Quarterly newsletters are distributed informing parents about each of our nurseries, staff training, themes and organised outings; and offering parents information with regard to parenting advice and issues.

Rascals nurseries have a full range of policies/care practices including admissions, healthy meal provision, discipline and behaviour policies. In partnership with Cheshire East Council, we offer funded places for all 3 and 4 year olds. Please see the rest of the site to find out more.
